Just bought a Netgear DG834G Router and am trying to config it to my Toshiba laptop, but i am having trouble. The only way i can connect to the Netgear site to config this is by way of the earthnet wire. When i get on site and go through the setup nothing seems to happen.I am currently on Wanadoo Broadband and am using the Thompson 330 speedtouch connection modem .Can anyone help me with the IP address for wanadoo.I have tried the IP address in my own config on the laptop but this dosn't seem to work. Please help ,i am at my wits end.![]()
Try doing a full reset (usually by holding down the reset button on the back of the router) to the router. Connect with an ethernet wire, setup setting, enable DHCP. Set computer's LAN settings to obtain IP automatically. Then connect wire/wirelessly to router.

Hi
I believe your Netwegear DG834G already has a modem built into it and therefore you do not need the Speedtouch modem.
If I'm not mistaken Wanadoo assigns it's own IP address automatically so you don't need to worry about anything if you set up your modem to automatic detection.
Good luck
