    New Wireless internet not working

So we used to have cable high speed internet and now weve swiched to dsl. so we got the wireless internet up and it works on my computer, however it does not work on my fathers computer.

the network name we used to have was "defult" because he tried to set it up on HIS computer but he didnt quite do it right.

anyway we've got this new network and its all set up and the other network was disconnected, execpt his is still picking up defult and connected to it, i mean its not getting internet but it says it has an execlent connection and such and when i try to connect it to the new one nothing happenes, it doesnt connect. also the defult one doesnt come up on the list to remove or edit and such.

how can i get rid of the defult thats comming up and how can i connect it to the new network, any help would be great.

So you don't see defult when you Open Network Connections?

Where do you see it? Can you not right click it and rename or delete?

You might try a Registry Cleaner: RegSeeker

    See if that helps.

When you see it can you not right click it and choose Rename or Delete?

Are these options grayed out? Do you receive an error?

Again a Registry Clean might help.

when i right click it on the view availible wireless networks it gives me "what's this" nothing else. i think i want to save the registry clean for my last option. could uninstalling the wireless card and reinstalling it help?

It finds invalid entries in the registry. It lists them as red and green. Green are good to go and red are questionable but most likely not needed.

    It always creates a backup.

It also has many other tools which are cool. It does nothing until you tell it to.

Another great backup tool for your Registry is here and free:

This is a valuable tool and worth using before any cleaning.

I have used RegSeeker for years without any problem.

Save 20% on AVG Internet Security 2012 Suite!
If defult is tied to a registry key and that key is found as invalid it will remove it.

Yes you can download it (unzip it) and copy to disk then just run the .exe on any computer.
