    Wireless Network Confusion

    Hello,

I am trying to set up a wireless network in my home. I want to be able to plug a bit of kit (I'm not sure what) into my BT telephone socket and connect to the internet wirelessly from both my PC and Mac. Both my PC and Mac are able to pick up wireless networks and my PC is currently connected to broadband using the Sagem Fast 800 Modem.

I bought a Belkin Wireless G Router. However, after following the installation instructions my modem does not appear to have the correct number of sockets. The modem connects to my PC via the USB socket. The modem only has sockets for USB and line (telephone). Do I need a different type of modem?

Alternatively, do I need to buy a wireless modem/router (all in one) jobby? If so please could you recommend something? I'm a bit confused.

    Thanks for your help.

    Simon

    Hi and welcome to D-A-L

you can either get a ASDL modem that connects to the PC using ethernet or get a wireless modem router

have a look here (it'll maybe explain it better than me)
