    Angry Nortin internet Security Alert

Am running Norton Internet Security 2004 on Win2k. NIS Program Control creates an alert "A remote system is attempting to access your computer." The remote address is always different. It happens so frequently that I am sometimes clicking "Block" as much as I am typing. Norton support was no help at all. Turning off intrusion alert reporting does not switch this off. Have searched for adware and viruses.

I have been forced to switch off the firewall (running zone alarm trial to get working)

    Any help appreciated.

    Hi,

Can you tick the box on those prompts which says something along the lines of "Always use this rule" ? Or is the issue that its always a different source so that makes no difference?

Many thanks for your quick reply. I have already done as you suggested. The problem, as you rightly quessed, is that the source is different each time so this option has no effect. Any further suggestion will get me grovelling at your feet.

Save 20% on AVG Internet Security 2012 Suite!
See if this works Open Norton Internet Security ->personal firewall->configure>custom level->uncheck alert when unused ports are accessed.
