Hoping to get this one in before it kicks me off again....

Basically the deal is this, I have a realtek rtl8139 NIC card in my computer and have had it for quite a while. Tonight I installed the latest drivers, and since then, I can be online a few minutes at a time, but then my internet connection fails, and I can't get back online without rebooting the computer. Anyone have any thoughts on what a driver update could have changed to cause this problem?

Also, I have an abit vt7 motherboard, and I tried going through the onboard lan thing on that.....when I plug the wire from the cable modem into the vt7 port, the lights come on, and my status shows as sending and getting packets, but nothing will go online when I try to open it?


Also, I have attempted to turn off my firewall, but this makes no difference in either case.
