    Laptop can't connect to Internet???

I have a strange one to ask....

I have a home network in which 2 pc's run off a (wired) belkin router with broadband!

When trying to connect a laptop to the router it knows there is a connection but can not recieve any packets.

The story is that the laptop was connected to another small network through "drive z" to transfer some files... since then i have not been able to connect the laptop to my home network.

I have been trying to use a straight ethernet cable to the router from the laptop... but just now i have connected the laptop to the pc via a crossover cable and it can access the net????

Please if anyone understands the problem... would be a massive help... as it has sure as hell stumped me!!!

    Ok its all sorted now!!!

It is strange that it would accept the crossover cable from the PC...

But i located this thread (D-A-L has seriously had a facelift since the last time i used it lol)

    http://www.d-a-l.com/help/showthread.php?t=21612

My laptop has exactly the same ethernet adapter! I uninstalled it and reinstalled under System/Device Manager and it is now all up and running
