Hey guys just a question about networking. I have 2 pc's running XP pro both have ethernet hookups...1 is via rhine other is realtek...already have a cable just wondered what else I needed to network both pc's...thanks Danny

if you just want the 2 to connect to each other then a crossover cable will do, but if you want them both to share the net your better off getting a router.

I have cat 5 cable. but when i run network setup wiz. i get sceen that says hardware not connected on both pc's and it tells me to ignore... then when setup is done the icon in toolbar says network cable unplugged..thanks,..Danny

Are you certain the cable isn't damaged? If you go to control panel > System > hardware > device manager and click on your network adapter does it say that it is working correctly on both machines?

do you use ethernet cable (cat 5) to connect to your modem or USB ?
