We have bought, and appear to have correctly installed, a pair or Sweex thingys that will halp us connect our laptop to our desktop. The desktop uses BT broadband, and despite having set up the internet, local network etc using the wizards, the laptop refuses to connect. All I get are DNS errors. Neither of us is overly techie - so we are struggling the mass of stuff on the net.

When I insert the PCMCIA card into the laptop the Tx/Rx light comes on very briefly - and that's the nearest we get to life.

Any ideas???
