i have a desktop pc with broadband connection.
i have just installed a belkin wireless adapter.
i have a laptop with an intergrated wirless capabilty.
both are win xp.
I have enabled wireless on laptop.
In the task bar of both machines a tv monitor appears that seems to show the 2 are talking.
I want to use internet explorer on my lap top using the wireless connection from main pc.
I opened ie on lap top and nothing happens.
what do I do next??????

Hmm have you tried tools>internet options>connections and delete and previous connections so that its not trying to dial out or anything? Had a similar problem when setting up a network.

Go Tools>internet options>connections and click never dial a network then make sure your lan settings are right.
