    Sharing Outlook .pst file

My MS Home network on XP Pro is working fine except for sharing my MS Outlook .pst file so that I can synchronise both machines. If I try to access C:\Documents and Settings\David\Local Settings\Application Data\Microsoft\Outlook from either machine via the network it tells me that it is not accessible. (It is of course accessible and viewable from each machine locally). I have set total file sharing for both Desktop & Laptop on the tree down to this file, they are both on the same Workgroup and there are no password resrictions.

Am I trying for the impossible?

Is it possible to relocate the location of the .pst file permanantly on both machines to a location that is shareable - I have looked at MS Outlook and it seems improbable!

Thanks in advance for your help and a happy and peaceful new year to you all.

Thanks Jephree - I'll have to remember Google Groups in my researches in future. I'm not too sure if it's solved or made my problem more difficult but I'll read on. It's interesting that I can happily move/copy/replace .pst files using a Laplink Network or USB connection but Microsoft make it so difficult - should I be suprised?

    Thanks again
