I thought this place was helpful???
I have had this thread on here for a couple of weeks and it hass been veiwed 22 times, but no one not one person has suggested one thing for me, I know there must be an easy sulotion out there somewhere, right? Here is the original thread again:
-- I bought a used, but in great working condition, Netgear RP 614 router from ebay. I need it to get my xbox online, but I can't get it to work right. My connection goes as follows: Phone line into sbc/dsl 2 wire modem - r45 cat 5e ethernet cable from modem to internet plug on the back of the router - one r45 to 10/100 card on this computer, one r45 to xbox. When it is hooked up like that I can't access the web, no explorer, can't even check email through outlook. The guy I bought it from said to hook it back up like that and open my IE and go to http://192.268.1.1 or 1.2, 1.3, and so on. I did that all the way to 1.15 over and over, but it never opened nor did a pop up come asking me to log on to the router like he said. I have given up on him for help and turned to you. I just want to play xbox live, my subscription is usless without a hook up. It works fine if I unplug the computer from the modem and run the xbox direct, but I would like both of them at the same time. What am I doing wrong other then buying used hardware from ebay with no paperwork or software to go with it? Please help--
Please tell me how to fix this problem, even if you don't know then maybe you can tell me where I maybe able to go to find the answer I need. THANKS

See the difference?
Seriously though - I'd try an X-Box forum.... if any of them can get on-line

OK if you want to do this, get the manual of the router, probably available as an online download. Read how to factory reset it. Do that and then you have the router in the same condition as if you'd bought it new. Then read the manual about how to configure it from scratch. Only get your PC working first. I can tell you some things for free. Your PC will need an IP address in the same subnet mask as the router's default address. You'll also need ot make sure you re using the right cables. Patch from PC to router and not crossover probably but the manual will tell you.
Once the PC is up and running the XBox should be fine.

I replied to your other thread and even gave you a link to the manual for your router and instructions for logging into the router, did you not see my reply?
Here is your other thread

If the suggestions we gave you don't help with your problem try the XBox Forums like the other Tech said.
