    Welcome to Techie7.

    With the supplied info so far, the audio drivers would be here;
    Lenovo Support - Download Drivers and Software (US)

    I went there before I posted this and I downloaded every update and everything and nothing worked. The rescue and recovery is listed only for windows vista and i am running windows xp so when I tried that update it needless to say gave me and error. Not sure what to do next.

    Also, when I go to my Device Manager there is a yellow question mark next to other devices when I open it up it says Audio Device on High Definition Audio Bus when I click on that it takes me to a section that has three tabs that say General Driver Details under the General tab it says Reinstall Driver when I click that it tells me "The hardware was not installed because the wizard cannot find the necessary software. ugh! so frustrated

    Now that it's known you have XP, I see there isn't much there to choose from. Let's take this approach ;
    Here is a link to Everest Home Edition (CLEAN FreeWare)

    Alternate link;
    |MG| EVEREST Free Edition 2.20 Download

    Download, install, and run Everest Home Edition on this machine. (CLEAN FreeWare) Once it's finished loading and running, click the + sign next to;

    Motherboard. Click on Chipset. Post the information listed (on the right) after South Bridge exactly as it is listed. (example; South Bridge: Intel 82801GB ICH7)

    Multimedia. Post the information listed (on the right) under PCI / PnP Audio exactly as it is listed.
