Hey there! Alrightie, well first off my microphone doesn't work. Whenever I go to Sounds -> Recording Devices there are "No audio devices installed". I double checked that my microphone is plugged in and plugged into the correct spot. I also have checked my sound driver for updates and have found none.

However, I believe the problem has something to do with the fact that I downloaded and installed a different driver than the one that come with my computer. My sound was being distorted, so I thought I could fix it by installing a new one (dumb, I know).

I can provide anything that you need to know. Currently my sound driver is a High Definition Audio Device (from Microsoft). I'm running Windows Vista 32-bit SP2. I am 95% sure I have an on-board sound card, but I may be wrong. Any help in this matter would be much appreciated.
