    SATA drivers for xp installation

I recently had to wipe a SATA hard drive clean because of a virus, and I need the SATA drivers for the hard drive to install with XP. Does anyone know where I can get them? Details below....

    Hard Disk Details
    -------------------
    Drive ID = Samsung hd160jj/p
    Capacity = 160 GB

    Thanks!
    Evan

You don't need hard drive drivers. You need SATA interface drivers and you get them from your motherboard maker's website.

Okay, could someone please help me out with motherboard identification then?

The computer is a Dell Dimension E310

Under the setup screen, the system is listed as Dell System DV051
    BIOS Version = A03 (10/08/05)

A download link for the SATA interface drivers would be awesome!

    Thanks!

Okay, well I downloaded what I think is the right file. I have attached a .zip folder with the contents of the download.

My plan is to integrate the drivers into a bootable cd-rom for windows xp since the computer does not have a floppy. I am going to use n-lite to do this, but when I go to select which driver to integrate, I have no idea what to select. Could someone please give me some direction here? Screenshots are also attached...

When I choose to insert single driver, I get the option of clicking either "iaahci" or "iastor". Then I get a list of controllers for the different Intel products. I do not know which one to select.

Okay, I am still having problems with this installation. Every time I burn a .iso of windows XP with the sata driver integrated using n-lite, windows setup formats the hard drive and then copies all of the files. It then restarts. Here the computer goes into an infinite loop of restarting and doesn't get past the bios screen.

I opened the computer today to make sure I was using the correct chipset drivers and the intel cpu on the motherboard says 82801FR. This is the driver I have been choosing.

I do not know whether to choose the aahci or iastor file when inserting the driver, and whether or not I need the raid controller or just the ahci controller.

I cannot figure out why this isn't working.

Have you tried integrating all of the 82801 drivers? Also in your BIOS is there an option to set your SATA controller to operate as AHCI or IDE?
