The Philips DVD+RW DVD8601 driver in my Dell D1046 Dimension 4700 computer has stopped working. When I put a disc in the driver you can't hear it spinning up. The driver is showing on the control panel but is not working. Is there anything I can do to repair it or is it possible to buy a replacement driver? If so, which driver do I need to get? I am not a computer whizz but have a friend who would be able to put in a new driver or possibly repair the old one if he knew what to do. Thanks.
