Ok I have a compaq presario 6000 and I was putting windows xp on it now I cant get the monitor to work properly it wont detect it it just has default monitor and 4 bit color what do I do?

i couldnt find one with just 6000 they have letters after it and mine doesnt yes it is intergrated not a plug in also it wont even bring up a picture it just goes blank sending this from my ps3

Ok I reloaded windows got the screen to display again now back to my problem is I cant get the picture right it. It wont let me choose the color or pixels just gives me 4bit. The driver is vgasaves and it doesnt recognize the monitor it says default.

If you've reinstalled Windows you need to reinstall the computers drivers from HP.
In order to get the proper drivers we need to ID that computer model. 6000 ?????
There should be a label on the side or back of the case.
You could also try the DAL scan at the top of the page.

when i google system number: da204a I get Compaq Presario-Desktop 6350US is that it.

I dont know if it is my graphics problem but there was no button on the dal scan.

The DAL scan requires the latest JAVA download but your other info works.
Here are your drivers:

First install:

Then add:
