After installing operating system Microsoft XP newly because of virus attack I cant hear sounds in my speaker. I dont have a external sound card. My speakers are okay. I guess the problem occured while installing the driver from the CD that comes with the motherboard. While installing an error occured & the installation didn't continue. I tried to install the driver again from the Control Panel^Add Hardware option. There it showed that the hardware was installed but there was a yellow exclamatory sign over the writing, I proceeded & tried installing. But the error occured again. What to do. I basically compose songs in my computer. Without the speakers, it's all lame. Need some quick & good help.

Try going back into Device Manager where that Yellow error mark is and uninstall the driver, reboot, then reinstall from your CD.
