audio and media sound completly gone
I am wore out from downloading drivers, which i probably know nothing about. I had a computer crash on me and i have tried more than what i should have to try to get any type of audio on this computer. Hope you good luck. I think the guy that fixed the computer, left some things out or did not fix it completely.will be forever grateful.

Audio drivers
--------------------------------------------------
The best source for audio drivers is the computer manufacturers web site.
If the computer was custom built then go to the motherboard manufacturers web site.
Go to the driver download section and insert your model number. The drivers will be there.
If you are one of the very few people that actually installed a PCI "Sound Card" then you should have the drivers CD for that card or again go to that manufacturers web site.

That motherboard does have integrated sound. I wonder if the guy that "fixed" it reset the BIOS then failed to enable the on-board sound. I would boot into the BIOS Setup Menu and find the section on integrated devices and ensure sound is enabled. And of course, the obvious, make sure the speakers are connected to right jack and turned on.
