the sound card is generic..it has no manufacturer's name..etc etc on it

it has the following inputs
line in
mic
stereo out
MIDI I/O slot

thats it

it is on my PCI slot. i have lost the installers files & drivers

is there a way i can make it work?

Hi swordbearer and Welcome. What version of Windows? Typically, if you go into Device Manager and delete the existing sound drivers, then reboot, Windows will see the card as a new device and install generic drivers for it, which I suspect are all you need.
