Sound not working even after Driver installation

    Hi

I dont have sound in my PC
I am suffering with this issue for long now...
My mother board is Intel D101GCC AAD35788-308
    I downloaded the driver " AUD_ALLOS_5324_5322_PV_REALTEK.EXE"
My Audio is still not working after the installing this...

My sound and Audio device in control panel is blank.
How to check if my sound card is working properly, If so the right driver to install...

    Iam using Windows XP SP3

    Will greatly appreciate any help...

Did you enable the sound device in your BIOS Setup Menu?

Depending on your particular BIOS, you set it to enable or Auto. Then install the drivers from the motherboard's utility disk, or downloaded from their site.

I might have messed you up. You said above,
How to check if my sound card is working properly,
Do you have a sound "card" - or are you using the motherboard's on-board sound?

You can tell by where the speakers plug in. If in the rear panel I/O area - that area on the back of the computer where all the cables for your mouse, keyboard, printer, etc., go, then it is on-board.

If the speakers connections are in one of the "slots", then it is an add-in card.

The speaker plug in is on the rear of the panel
I also opened my Cabinet and dint see a add in card...
