I have seen various posts about this camera. I have had my fair share of annoyingness with this camera - I just found a fix for it not being detected by windows media player etc. this is for any service pack windows XP.


Plug your camera in but leave it off.

Step 1. download these drivers here:

Step 2. Run the files and follow as directed (you should be prompted to restart the computer - do so)

Step 3. After your computer has been restarted, turn your computer on. "Sony digital imaging device" should appear in the bottom right hand corner of your screen (where all the little icons/time are) CLICK THIS

Step 4. Choose to automaticly install software for this device

Step 5. YAY DONE!

I hope this helps, even one person ^_^ if not myself when i reformat my computer and forget how to use the camera
