That's all the info I have. Also, does anyone have any stats on onbaord usb's going bad, 'cause my usb ports up and stopped working a while ago and I think it might be the bios, but in the meantime I assumed it was just that they finally went bad, the motherboard and system is quite old.
-
ECS no longer lists any BIOS for that board:

Is the USB the only problem?
I cannot find any SIS chipset drivers. Only for specifics such as audio and graphics.
2001 is fairly ancient.
-
TH USB is the main problem, Few other quirks I'd like to fix, but I jsut figured since I updated evreything else, the Bios might be worth a shot.
It's a pretty old beast, it's my abomination until I can scrounge up some money for a custom build. It's just old parts I found from friends and things like that.
Hrm, Guess i'm pretty much at a loss here then, huh?
I miss my USB. I thought maybe It might be a bios option or something, But I don't want to toggle anything I'm not sure on. Think they just went bad?
-
There is not much "damage" you can do in the BIOS settings.
There is always the "Default" option and in a worse case scenario there is always clearing the CMOS.
See if there are any USB or Plug & Play options.
What OS are you using?
If all the ports are not working it could be either the hardware or just a setting. XP usually loads its own USB drivers.
-
XP PRO, THey stopped working whe I was using XP Home, I switched recently.
I'll fiddle around and see what turns up.
-
Check your Device Manager for USB Controllers.
Right click My Computer then click Manage then Device Manager.
-
-
em? erm?
You mean it's working? Or are they just there in the Device Manager?
-
I have the drivers in the device list, but no, they aren't working. Sorry to be vague.

If you expand the list (+) what is listed?
