Is there a floppy disk drive on the machine where you want to save a copy of the current bios settings?

There are utilities to accomplish this, they are however dependant upon your bios type.

Do you know the make and model of your motherboard?

If no, then download, install, and run Everest Home Edition on this machine. (Clean FreeWare) Once it's finished loading and running, look under Motherboard (and Chipset).

Post the information that is listed for the make and model and the chipset.

Also post what bios is on the motherbaord. (Award, AMI, Phoenix, IBM, etc)
