Okay, so i "attempted" to format my harddrive on another computer, and i ran into a problem with installing the drivers. well not installing just in general even finding the right ones. (most of them)

in the computer management there were 3 yellow ?s next to

Ethernet controller
Multimedia audio Controller
and SM Bus Controller

i already installed the driver Intel Extreme Graphics thing and it fixed the display

this is the quick report i did with everest i had to type it so its not all of it

I hope the above is a typo. If not, you really should load SP2.

I'm quite surprised XP didn't load the proper audio chipset drivers, they're common. Have you tried "Updating the driver" in Device Manager?

I thought I had the Intel 82801DB ICH4 - AC'97 A chipset drivers, but I have the AC'97 for AA/AB. I'm unsure if it matters so,,,,,,
