    Unhappy need to find driver!

I just installed a new hard drive and have formatted it but am still pulling information off my old hard drive. I can't find the disk form my soundcard nor do I remember what it is, and I am wondering if there is any way to locate my driver files off my old hard drive? Please help, I have no sound!

    Thanks much Jenn

    Hello and thanks for responding,

Here's the information about my computer. Seagate Barracuda 7200.9 ST3120814A 120GB 7200 RPM 8MB Cache IDE Ultra ATA100 Hard Drive - OEM is my hard drive and my sound card was separate, as I used to game but can't remember now what it is. I can pop open my computer to look if I need to, in order to find the drivers. I think that they would be found on my old hard drive since my sound worked fine there and if I could find them there than that would be great.

Let me know if you can help.

    Thanks!

Sorry I had company come by and must have missed you. I think I'll open my computer back up and make sure the soundcard is plugged in. Hopefully that will work I'll update when I'm through. Thanks again for your help.

Most audio is on the motherboard unless you specifically added a PCI sound card which would be in a slot standing perpendicular to the motherboard.

If your audio is on the motherboard, which is a Compaq, the drivers are here:
