    MSI Ethernet Controller drivers

I'm actually not completely sure if I need this but for some reason, my computer is not detecting my internet connection. It used to work, but I completely reformatted recently (I may have deleted some vital stuff).

    I'm on a MSI MS-6590 2.0 with Windows XP

I checked the device manager and under the "question marks", it says that my ethernet controllers are "?". So that's why I think it's the problem.

    I greatly appreciate any help

Do you have the driver CD for this motherboard?

If not you can ID your motherboard with this tool:

    http://www.cpuid.com/cpuz.php

    Then find your drivers here:

It says that it is "VIA KT600 Chipset". I checked the site you've provided but I'm don't know which one to choose.

Also, is downloading the Mainboard driver going to help restore the Ethernet controllers? I'm very computer illiterate so please bare with me

Your motherboard drivers are there in that link but does CPU-Z not say anymore about it? Something like KT6 Delta-LSR, KT6 Delta-FISR or KT6 Delta-FIS2R ?

Thats what you need to know.

Erm ok. See my sig, follow the link and download EVEREST Home Edition. Run it and see what it gives. It should give more info.

I'm not sure if the other sub-versional drivers will work or are the same, but they are usually different if they are under different sections rather than all combined.
