In the middle of Bios updating process and my laptop battery died. After hooked up with A/C adapter and I think Bios was damaged and there no message or screen. Is there anyway that I can recover my Bios?? Thanks for the comments.

My laptop mdoel is Compaq 1700T Presario ( Model No. 17XL4)

why did you need to update your BIOS

have you got the updated BIOS on a floppy

you may have problems as your machine may not have a BIOS at all

Most Name brand laptops require return to depot for a mucked up bios flash. I know its a bit late to mention this, but never flash a laptop on battery power, always have AC plugged in...lesson learned!

Contact Compaq for the actual process for restoring from an inadvertent power loss during flash.
