My son has an Acer Aspire 1360 /Note book. After doing a total system restore, the video card has vanished. It did have DVD-Dual Drive DVD rewriter thingy on it before the restore, now it has gone??? Please help, he goes back to Uni soon and will need it. Thank you from his despairing mum.

was the restore done with a restore disc?

i think the proble m lies with the scsi?? Every time the comp is switched on it says new hardware found, comp says - pci simple communications controller,but it won't load, cant find it to fix it either. no rescue disc was used. as far as i can tell in layman terms, the computer is not talking to the dvd driver?? Been on this for 3 days now, ready to throw it out the window!! need remote assistance i think. thank you for your help

what did you use to do the system restore?

is the DVD drive working at all?

are all the graohics OK?
