Sound Problem, Help Appreciated
I have recently rebooted my computer unit. I have lost my Motherboard CD and this perhaps causes the problem why my PC does not produce any sound via speakers and other such audio device.
Hereunder are some details about my unit.

It appears that my sound card is in need of driver installation. Can anyone please point me to a website that can provide the necessary installers for this problem?

What is the make and model of the computer?
Try the Audio drivers direct from the manufacturer's web site.
If the computer was custom built then check the motherboard's manufacturer's web site.
If you need help in this search please post back the ID's.
P4M266-8233 is indicative of an MSI motherboard yet MSI lists no such model #.

What do you mean by ID's? How is it possible that my motherboard appears to be void? Is there any way that I can download a different MSI driver that can make my motherboard work properly?
-
How can I determine what audio driver I should download for my audio device?

Was this a custom built computer or is it like a Dell or HP or?
What is the exact make and model?
If custom built then what is the ID of the motherboard?
This should show you: http://www.cpuid.com/cpuz.php
Look under Mainboard.
P4M266-8233 indicates a VIA chipset. You can try various 8233 VIA drivers listed here:

You will have to register.
Many motherboard manufacturer's sell their boards to computer manufacturer's and therefore do not list the boards as retail models. If such is the case than that is why MSI does not list that board.

Most audio drivers that come on board are ac-97, go to msi website and they have a general ac-97 download for all models i believe
