Realtek AC'97 Audio for VIA (R) Audio Controller

I have Realtek AC'97 Audio for VIA (R) Audio Controller and recently it has not been working. I go into the control pannel and click on "Sounds and audio devices" and under the "Audio" tab all i see is "Modem #0 Line Playback" under the drop down menus, before i used to see "Realtek AC'97 Audio". I've tryed uninstalling and re-installing it and it still doesnt work. Anyone have any suggestions?

What is the make and model of the computer?

If custom built what is the make and model of the motherboard?

    Try this driver:

    Realtek ALC Series Audio Drivers

    http://www.msi.com.tw/program/suppor...UID=633&kind=1

I took that driver from the first in this list but they appear to be the same:

    http://www.msi.com.tw/html/products/...comparison.htm

    KT600 KT6-V MS-7021
    KT600 KT6V-LSR MS-7021
    KT600 KT6V-SR MS-7021

    KT400A KT4A-V MS-7021

Save the .zip file to your Desktop then right click it and extract to a Folder on your Desktop then open the subfolder and click on Setup.exe
