i,ve just bought a dell latitiude L400 laptop.
i can record into it via the mic socket and it does actually record and i can hear the recording when i play it back but when i,m actually recording i canot hear anything!!!???
the sound driver installed on here is CRYSTAL SOUNDFUSION(tm).
I,VE TRIED EVERYTHING IN THE RECORDING PANEL..NOTHING LETS ME HEAR WHAT I,M RECORDING...I,M STRESSING AS I,M A MUSIC PRODUCER AND WORK IS PILING UP!
HOPE SOMEONE CAN HELP ME.

Not sure that that is the issue tho. Are you using a headset w/ mic or... ?

recording into mic socket with phono cable from turntable and listening out via headphones in headphone socket.
it records fine but cant hear the recording i,m doing until i press stop on record & listen back?

my friends just bought round a converter box to go in via usb socket & works fine.
