Hi i ave just brought a IItronics 1 GB mp3 player ! now the problem is that when i try and plug it in to the usb unit thingy me bob ! it sends a msg on screen that it has not detected the new softwear and tells me one of the usb devices attatched to the computer has malfunctioned, and windows does not reconise it !!!! i am running windows xp professional service packive got a usb hub of 6 ports an 2 and when i click to get help it tells me that i have got 6 usb ports and 1 is not reconised ! please help me as this is so frustrating ! i also have a Inovix imp-21 mp3 player and this does the same i have put both disc's in and loaded them in but this still does not help !!! please please help me i would very much appricate it if you could help me at all thanks * Sazza *

You have both devices plugged into a USB hub? Do they work OK if you plug them into a USB port that is in the back of the PC?

yes they are plugged in , in the other usb hub ive got my internet usb cable in and that works fine and so does my web cam! but its just this mp3 player that wont work in it ! my friend tries it on there pc and it worked fine and songs was put on it ! but i try and nothing just that silly msg that comes up ..

Does the USB port or hub that you are plugging the MP3 player into only support USB 1.1? If so, you will probably find that the MP3 player requires a USB 2.0 connection.

have you got a software disk, if not try searchin google for a software, i use to have this problem with my ipod, then i installed the disk and it worked fine
