    trying to diable the modem on hold feature

    I purchased an Archtek 5634PRS modem (V.92 features, Smartlink), which I installed in my Pentium 4, 2.8, running Windows XP.
    It works OK except when trying to use it with as a telephone answering
    service (EZVoice). The first call comes through OK, but not the next ones.
    The developer of EZVoice says that I have to disable the Modem on Hold
    feature, but for the life of me, I don't see how to do that. Would you have
    any ideas? I've been to Smartlink's site as well as Archtek, and so far
    haven't found anything that works. There is no icon or applet that allows me to disable the modem on hold feature.

    Is there nothing in control panel under modem. Or your dial up settings with properties for the modem? Have you got the latest drivers for your modem? Could be something you haven't installed. Have you tried the manufacturers of your modem?
