Or is it custom built?

I am not immediately finding a Foxconn 1524 motherboard

Tryed to use Media Player.... go this message:
"Windows Media Player cannot play the file because there is a problem with your sound device. There might not be a sound device installed on your computer, it might be in use by another program, or it might not be functioning properly."

On Control Panel\System\Sounds and Audio Devices Properties\Audio - I can't select anything else, only Modem Line Playback....

Sorry to be such a pain... but what else can I do???

go to the Device Manager

Start/Run/ devmgmt.msc

Click + next to Sound ....

Disable: Unimodem Half-Duplex Audio Device


And just to verify: This is a custom built PC? It is not a Dell or HP or IBM or etc. ?

If it is what is the exact make and model and # ?

Done that (disable Unimodem), nothing changed... can't select any other device.
