Hi, Ive been fooling with this problem for a while now. Ive researched on this forum and found someone with the same problem Ecko_Blue. I am using an OEM version of window xp home ed. , with the ASUS p4s800d-e deluxe motherboard which had the intergrated audio by soundmax.

When trying to install my audio driver this happens at the end of the install:

SEVERE
-------------------------------------------------
Driver not found. Reboot the system and try again.

Ive tryed everthing i could think of. I have the original install disk. I tried reinstalling windows, deleting all other audio driver, many different versions of the driver. At first I thought it could be service pack problems but i went through alkinds of differ updates sp1 then sp1a then sp2 still nothing. I had to recently rebuy windows xp and start from scratch agian over a long story. But on my other version of window which was the retail version I had no problems. This is the OEM version so im starting to think thats the problem. Any suggestions please help thanks

Audio drivers for that board here:

Select Product > Motherboard

Select Series > Socket 478

Select Models > p4s800d-e deluxe

Then specify Drivers.
