hey im doing an assignment for school which requires me to research a certain scenerio. can any1 help with steps to fix the scenerio below;

Daniel’s company imports Jalapenos from Mexico. He runs his business from a commercial web site which he updates, and uploads using his business computer which is connected to broadband at home. He notices that there is a steady trickle of excess network traffic in and out of his computer that is using up his download limits.
 When installing the scanner drivers, an error message did come up (Hyacinth cannot remember what it said) but a colleague advised to ignore it and continue the install.
