Hi all please help asap....i accidentaly deleted something to do with my sound card or driver from the add or remove programs (i was cleaning up and thought it was something else) the reason i know its something to do with sound card or driver is cos now i have absolutely now sound and the computer is saying found new hardware: Multimedia Audio Controller or something. How do i get the sound back?! Please help! thank you xx

have you got the disc for you motherboard?

when the computer says found new hardware does it ask if you want to install the hardware

yes i have the disk for my motherboard just found it. and the new hardware screen does ask to insert a cd rom. Can i just use the motherboard disk to reinstall the drivers then? Thanks for the reply x

I put the motherboard disk in and the drivers were on there so i installed them and restarted my computer and now i have sound again Thank you so much for your help... i was scared to put the motherboard disk in in case it reset my mtherboard or something! hehe
