deleted my sound driver- help please!?!

  1. deleted my sound driver- help please!?!

I was cleaning out some files and accidentally deleted my sound card driver, and now I don't have any sound. Is there anyway I can get it back? Im so lost. Please help.
I am operating on Windows XP, it was a Realtek 97 something??? I can navigate around pretty well, but I just dont know what Im looking at. Any help would be appreciative.
    Thanks.

What is the exact make & model & # of the computer? e.g. Dell Dimension 5400 etc.

As your Audio Device is an onboard chip the computer manufacturer is the best source for its' particular drivers.
Their web site will have drivers for download.
Look for Support | Downloads | Drivers | Audio XP.
