    On Board Sound Drivers

    Hello,

    I am looking to update my mobo's onboard sound drivers. The problem is, I can't find out for sure which drivers I currently have, and I have no clue where I can go to get the latest drivers. I was hoping someone could look at this DXDiag and perhaps link me to a driver I can update.

    What is the exact make & model of the computer?

    If custom: what is the make & model of the board?

    There are many SoundMax drivers listed here but it is best to get them from your manufacturer.

    I am not sure how to check. I believe it is a custom built computer. I won it playing in a tournament for WCG. When I go to my computer and click system information it says Manufactured and Supported by HardDriver.com And that it is a Gamer Box. Does that help at all?

    I downloaded those, installed them, and lost all sound =( couldn't find a way to roll them back but I system restored and that got rid of them. Any ideas why this may have happend?

    Those are the latest drivers for your motherboard.

    Why were you looking for updates in the first place? Do you have audio problems?

    Well, I don't have audio problems per-say. However, whilst playing battlefield 2, if I turn on the microphone boost option in game, it turns on my FRONT Panel Mic option in my Sound Controls. The problem is, I have no front panel mic. I believe it is doing this because on most computers the first thing in the box under the microphone advanced menu is Mic Boost. However on mine it's Front Panel. And the second is boost. When Front Panel mic is on, no one can hear me. I have talked with Battlefield 2's tech support, and they must not have read my question because they gave me a bunch of options to fix it on my end as if my Microphone didn't work period. When really it's soemthing they need to patch in their game. I was just hoping that if I installed new drivers I would possible be able to get the Mic to work in game. Not to mention it would be nice to have all up to date drivers.
