    Samsung SM-304B Drivers

    HI all,

Further to my earlier problem, I have successfully put in my CD/R/RW/DVD Combi drive, Windows is currently using it's default CD-ROM drivers to run the drive. So, surely it should just be a case of downloading the appropriate drivers from Samsungs support site?

I should be so bloody lucky. It's coming up with things like 'firmware' which sound a lot like drivers to me in their description of it. Quite happily downloaded the file, installed it as per the instructions. And bugger all. Windows doesn't recognise any type of driver in the download and it hasn't changed the driver Windows uses.

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

    What is your Operating System?

XP will use its' own drivers on optical drives.

Unfortunately I'm still running Win 98, Yes I know I should upgrade, but it's what I've got at the moment. Never mind eh?

All the drivers I've seen for this hardware have been for XP or Server 2000 however I know there are some drivers available as the drive has been running in 95 and 98.

    Any help is greatly appreciated.
