Yeah, I understand you, I use to solve this kind of problems by myself but now I dont know why arent those drivers working as they should.

Nope, I dont have any PCI cards, only the built-in ones.

Sound worked before the format, I dont think its hardware problem... but it might be...

I would try the chipset driver & then the audio driver again. Reboot inbetween.

I tried installing first the chipset driver then reboot, now the sound driver and reboot but I'm still geting no sound!

Im having the exact same problem,wonder if this guy had any luck?
