    PCI Communication Device

I currently have a PCI Communication device on my computer and it states the drivers for this device are not installed (code 28) and when I try to reinstall the driver windows cant find the appropriate driver and doesnt recognise it. This causing my screen to be fuzzy and it appears like its in safe mode (though it isnt) all the time. How do I solve this problem. Thanks in Advance.

Do you know what this Device is?

What is listed under the Details tab via Device Manager?

Broadband was recently installed on the computer previously used standard dial up. I think it might be something to do with this. My computer runs on windows 98. Thats all i can really tell you.

This is most likely related to your broadband. Did they give you an external modem? Or install an internal card?

Do you not see anything in the Details tab of the Device Manager?

If not download Everest to try to ID this device.

Look under Devices | Physical Devices

Also you might want to contact your broadband provider.
