formatted HDDs and partitions, now bios won't load
I recently built a new computer. The hard drives I used from my old computer and simply transplanted. Essentially, it was my old computer but souped-up. There came to be a lot of crap on the computer. Before i replaced the power supply (yes, the new power supply) it would reboot itself every once and a while and always turn itself on a few minutes after i turned it off. it doesn't turn on by itself anymore, but it did restart. i decided to format the hard drives (after saving my files) and start anew. after i formatted the hard drives i could access bios and even boot from the windows xp CD. after deleting the partitions my computer screwed up. When i press the power button, it turns on, displays the specs for my video card, the icon for my motherboard, then freezes. if i hit TAB within the first few seconds of it showing the motherboard screen, i get to the bios page where it displays the options for accessing the boot menu, doing a network boot, etc. at first it would do a RAM check and would stop and start beeping and freeze, so i removed a stick and switched the remaining one around in the slots until i didnt have that problem anymore. now it checks the good stick and freezes. i can hit f11 for the boot menu during the RAM check and i can see the option go from "f11: boot menu" to "go-> boot menu". my goal is to create new partitions (using the driver CD for my hard drive) so i can reinstall windows. this is my system
