Post RE: Sony Mini Disc Thro Windows Media Player

I have had a minidisc player for a while, and find it irritating that i use media player 10 for most things like CD burning and listening to music and such, but it is annoying that i have to run sonic stage everytime i want to do anything with my MD player. I have to load sonic stage, find each song.......

From searching i guess this is highly unlikely, but is there any way to use a sony md player through media player instead of sonic stage, as it takes so long to load, keeps crashing, is irritating to use.... etc.

I have media player 10 and have been to the windows website and found a long list of portable devices, none of which are sony- suprise there- But i figured surely someone somewhere knows of a way to make it work. I have a

    MX-N510 Type S

    minidisc player.

    Thanks!

This is the same for me as well. I spent hours burning cds onto my computer, as well as typing all the track & artists names in. Only to find that it did not transfer any of it.

Does anyone know if it can be done, or do I have to burn the cds once again, and use the fiddly display to type the track names in???????

    Cheers,

    Andy

PS I have the Sony MZ-NH1

Got the Sony NetMD: Here is my personal tip

    TO ALL SUFFERERS OF SONICSTAGE

it isn't widely known, but you can transfer your music from your PC to your MD using the free version of RealPlayer.

Go to Devices and select Sony Devices. This downloads a little patch from RealPlayer and allows you to transfer Mp3 to your net MD, the same as a CD. Be patient though, you have to mess around with some of the settings before you get it down. Only problem is that it records in Long Play format
