    Micorsoft Outlook

    Hello,

I have two computers in two rooms.

I run windows XP home edition.

One computer is a slave to the other, which means that documents are stored and saved on the desktop and accessed by the laptop.

I would like the two computers to be able to similtaneously access the calendar in particular, email and functions in outlook.

I understand I could purchase microsoft exchange or microsoft windows server 2007 but that would be very expensive.

Is there another way to tackle this problem using techniques or other software?

    Thank you in advance

    Terry

I have almost the same setup re email as you do.
    • PC with Windows Live mail installed.
    • Sharing ability between PC and Laptop
    • Windows Live Mail installed on Laptop also
    • On Laptop email account to access Windows Live Mail as from PC
    • Setting enabled to leave emails on server when accessing from Laptop
    Does this help you?

I do not have Outlook, used to do the same with Outlook Express, however Windows Live Mail is certainly better so I upgraded which has a setting on installation to import all emails to Storage Folders from OE so no loss of data at all.

let me know if the above is of any assistance to you.

    kind regards,

Hi, I spoke to my computer guy and he was of the opinion that your solution would work for emails but wouldn't resolve the similtaneous access of calendar functions by two seperate computers.

We are now wondering whether there is a stand alone software that allows similtaneous access to a calendar?

If you are able to help then I would be grateful
