Hi When I switch on I cannot get my desktop and just get a black screen with privacy centre and nothing else?

If the power supply cable with the 2x2 connector or 2x4 connector (depending on your desktop board), is not plugged into the 12V processor core voltage connector located near the processor socket, the system will not boot up.

You don’t mention here which OS you are using.

You should follow this steps below:
boot in to safe mode.
remove the video drivers from the device manager.
reboot, let windows reload the drivers.
should fix it.
