Where's a site where you can post a question about working in MS Word? I am trying to make Arial a default font, 14 pt, and can't remember how. Ideas? Thanks!

Open Word, click on Format tab, scroll to Font then choose your options from there.

That does not change the default. To do that, you must edit the normal.dot file. For more specific, you need to specify what version of Word.

I have Microsoft Word 2002 - My reply to the OP is how I set Maiandra as my default font. I just had a play with the font options again changing it to default Arial which also worked 100%.

Ah, now I understand - an important (albeit obvious) step was omitted. As shown in the MSKB, How to set the default font in Word, if you want all future documents to use the new font as a default, you must click the "Default" button, then follow the prompts to change the default (normal) template - which the normal.dot file in 2002 and 2003, and normal.dotm in 2007.
