I have Windows XP and want to upload photos from my mobile phone(Nokia 5000) to my PC, with a USB cable that came with the camera, along with a mini-size CD, which doesn't fit my CD drive. I already downloaded the Nokia PC software package but it doesn't seem to give me instructions to do it. The Nokia instruction and spec booklet avoids dealing with this transfer problem altogether.

First off are you sure the mini disc doesn't fit? Most all drives have an "inner circle" for this purpose.

Beyond that when you plug in the USB does the computer recognize "New Hardware"?
