    DVD burning

    Windows Vista

I'm having a major headache trying to burn full length movie files to DVD.

I need tips on which free programs will do this.

Vista's burning will only burn them as data.

The preloaded teaser Roxio wont even load any of the files.

DVD Flick is a bust too.

Are we talking about one particular movie? Where did it come from?
Normally, Vista built-in program, Nero, and DVD Flick shouldn't have any problems with burning .avi file.

These movie files were passed along through file sharing.
I'm getting them after somebody else has done the 'rip'

Vista has burned one of the files, but it had no sound when put in the DVD player.
Vista remains in data burning mode for any other movi files I try.

Flick wont even load any of the files.

    That's illegal.
We don't condone it or participate in it
