I have a toshiba laptop and suddenly my windvd and media player programs open my dvd's and try to play them in slow motion...

It is sudden...did I do something to a setting? I've tried everything to make it play at normal speed but "normal" only gets me slow motion...I have to use the speed buttons to make it go in regular time....

You could try a System Restore but generally this would not affect particular programs but no harm in trying:

You might try a System Restore to a point prior to your problem:

start > All Programs > Accessories > System Tools > System Restore
